Condolence Message
To Mr. Obidiugwu Kenric Duru & family
C/o Ubahangwu Akatta, Oru East LGA
Imo State
On behalf of my family, I extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved patriarch,
Engr. Prof. Chief Jude Akubuobiukwu Duru.
Your father’s remarkable life, spanning 81 years, was a testament to his unwavering dedication,
resilience, and passion for excellence. His distinguished career, marked by numerous achievements,
inspired generations. Notably, his leadership as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) from 1993 to 1997 left an indelible impact.
As a renowned academic, administrator, and community leader, Prof. Duru’s legacy will continue to
inspire and motivate. His commitment to education, community development, and cultural heritage
remains unparalleled.
As an in-law, my wife often shared how your late father shaped her into the person she is today. He
always welcomed me into his home with a warm smile and without discrimination.
To Obidiugwu Kenric Duru of Ubahangwu Akatta and the entire Duru family, we offer our deepest
sympathies. May the memories of your father’s love, wisdom, and accomplishments bring you solace during this difficult time.
May Prof. Jude Akubuobiukwu Duru’s soul rest in perfect peace.
Adieu, Prof. J.O. Duru. Rest on until we meet to part no more.
With love and condolences,
Ambassador Sam Uche Macaulay, PhD, KSC, JP
